I designed it to attach securely to my trusty Clam Nanook portable fish house pole. To power the thing, I connected a 12-volt battery using six-foot leads and an LED light strip that really brings in the ambiance. It works flawlessly on poles with diameters of either 22mm or 7/8 inches.
