LED Light Pipes

LED Light Pipes

thingiverse

This is a group of test light pipes. The are designed to fit over a 5 mm thru-hole LED. They are not intended to fit any particular project, but to be used to explore designing and printing light pipes on a STL resin printer. In the photo you see a couple of light pipes still attached to the supports. I printed these on a Creality Halot One Plus and used Voxelab Transparent resin. Update 8-20-2022: Added five more designs (shown in picture with black background). I printer these with a flexible resin ( #D Materials SuperFlex ENGR-F12L ). These can be bent to fit while still delivering light to the exit. Flex seems to have better internal reflection. I also added a test stand to test the flex models. This is intended to have a 40mm x 60mm pcb attached to the standoffs, Note that the one stl ending in "SMD" is intended for use with a surface mound led.
