LED Light Bar Front & Back CR-10 / CR-10S (No Screws Needed)
thingiverse
I was searching for a straightforward no screws required light bar design for my CR-10S. Not finding one to my liking, I decided to create one myself. It fits neatly and snugly on the top part of the frame. A small tunnel is located at one end for wires to pass through, allowing connection of the two sides of LED's. At the other end, there are two small holes for passing wires through to keep things tidy. Directions: Option 1: I simply ran the wires down the back of one of the aluminum channels near the left z-Axis rod. Then I connected it to a 12v wall adapter and added a switch. Option 2: An alternative is to get power to the lights without using a 12v wall adapter by tapping into the extruders cooling fan. I did this with my lights that move with my extruder (There will be a link to that model below). All you have to do is cut the extruder cooling fan wires, solder the LED light wires to them and then solder back the extruder cooling fan wires to where they were connected before. Parts: - 12v LED Strip (or any LED's that use 12v) - Wire - 1x Switch (Optional) LED Light CR-10/CR-10s Fan Blower Mount: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2748757 LED's - https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Non-waterproof-Christmas-Decoration-Daylight/dp/B00HSF65MC/ref=sr_1_4?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1515286556&sr=1-4&keywords=led+strip Switch - https://www.amazon.com/WGCD-Solder-Position-Panel-Switch/dp/B06XFXWLJP/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1515286479&sr=8-1&keywords=slide+switch+100+pc
