LED Light Bar for Prusa Mini (remix)

This is a remix of a great design by SethBon. I originally printed in PLA and, because I'm using a voltage regulator on the LED strips which made them run a bit warmer, the light bar ended up sagging. So I took that opportunity to slightly tweak the design before reprinting in PETG.

I doubled the thickness of the top part of the case from 2mm to 4mm and also added some ribbing which a) further reinforces the vertical direction and b) looks pretty cool.

Additionally, I extended the side walls down a bit and ran them past the caps so that the caps are fully encapsulated from the sides. I did this because my Mini sits on a paving stone on foam right next to me at my desk. The bars were almost exactly at my eye level and some light “leaked” out of the side and bothered me. There is now zero light cast out of the horizontal plane from the bottom of the cases.

I am including the caps in the .3mf file but they are completely unchanged from the original design and in fact I just reused my PLA ones on my new PETG case.

If you're interested in building this then please check out the original design with full instructions, including materials, and a link to buy the kit on Etsy (which is what I did).

Note: I wasn't certain what the proper “License” option was given that this is a remix of the design by SethBon. I chose the exact same License he selected for his design and hope that is correct. I certainly am not intending to take any credit for this great design, I simply made a few minor adjustments.
