LED light bar arm for Artillery Genius
thingiverse
Inspired by the LED light strip holder for its bigger brother by venegade, I decided to create a version specifically tailored for my Artillery3D Genius. Since the Genius features an injected molded top bar instead of a piece of extrusion, a different mounting system was needed. I opted for a clip arrangement - the arms simply clip onto the top bar, and friction and spring tension keep them securely in place. They end up holding quite firmly but can easily be released by pushing the bottom of the clip away from the top bar. I was fortunate to discover that these clips just clear the Z-link belt and the extruder gantry when at maximum Z height, eliminating any concerns about accidental collisions. The arms angle the light back towards the print bed approximately 10° off perpendicular, with cable retention clips integrated into the back channel for routing the power. They were designed for specific light bars from Amazon but can be easily adapted to other devices due to their versatile design featuring a spot for an M3 nut at the end.
