My friend misplaced his pricey LED Lenser charger, and you can't find one in Canada unless you buy another flashlight, so I created a custom battery charger for him. The LL battery measures 14500 li-ion, but the two terminals look different from standard units. It's likely that LL added some overcharge protection to it. I used the TP4056 charger specifically designed for this type of battery; you can get five pieces for just $3 on AliExpress at https://goo.gl/3HdRc5. The positive end is engineered to securely hold a spring from any standard battery holder, while the negative end features two holes designed to accommodate 20-gauge copper wire.
