LED Lamp Holder
thingiverse
I bought some LED trailer marker lights that needed a 3/4" hole to mount them, so I decided not to drill such a large hole in the side of my trailer. Instead, I designed and printed these lamp holders for them. This way, they can be mounted directly on the surface instead. These will work with any lamp holder (as long as the lamp isn't too tall) that requires a 3/4" mounting hole. You might need to adjust the lamp holder or the lamp depending on how accurate your printer is. There are two versions of the STL file, one with a single holder and the other with two holders, in case you need more than one. I'm thinking about modifying these to have a notch on one side so the wires can exit from there, making it possible to mount the lamp completely flush with the surface without any hole for the wiring behind it. UPDATE: I just added another STL file. The new file is called LED Lamp HolderA and it has a notch in the side that allows the wires to exit from there and also enables the lamp holder to be mounted directly on the surface without any hole behind it for the wires. Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100% Notes: I used rafts to hold the supports in place and also to prevent them from being knocked loose from the table because they are small prints. I printed it on my FFCP using Simplify3D.
