This lamp costs under fifty dollars to construct and only takes an hour or two to complete. Materials Needed 1 - A clear PVC pipe with a diameter of 2.5 inches or larger, available in lengths that can be customized to fit the desired size of your lamp. I have built lamps ranging from twelve inches tall to forty-eight inches wide. 1 - A second PVC pipe with a diameter of 1.25 inches and the same length as the clear pipe. 1 - A sixteen-foot strip of LED lighting, complete with adhesive tape, a power supply, and a remote control. 1 - A base plate made from either 3D printing or wood. 1 - A cap created through 3D printing. Clear PVC can be sourced on Amazon or US Plastics for approximately fifteen dollars per foot. White PVC can be found at local hardware stores or big-box retailers for around four dollars for a five-foot length. A sixteen-foot LED light strip is available at Menards for twenty dollars.
