LED Integrated Lightsaber Internals
thingiverse
This is my designed lightsaber which I developed over several weeks. I incorporated red and blue LEDs, allowing for Red, Blue, and Purple colors to be displayed. My initial intention was to create an outer sleeve resembling a traditional lightsaber to house this design, but unfortunately, I'm currently short on time. Similarly, strengthening or improving the fit of certain parts is also pending. To assemble it, simply print out all required components and follow the provided explosion diagram. Some parts will need to be printed multiple times; again, refer to the diagram for further clarification. The majority of these parts are secured using ABS glue (as I originally printed them in ABS). If you're working with PLA, however, epoxy is a better choice. You don't necessarily have to install the LED wiring if you prefer not to. For attaching the rods surrounding the crystal chamber, use epoxy regardless of whether you're working with ABS or PLA - and remember to print the BatteryPartHooks at 100% infill, as they tend to break easily. The fit of some components may require sanding and drilling, depending on your printer's tolerance level. Lastly, it's worth noting that there's a circular piece in the diagram with two holes; instead, use the SurfaceAreaMOD component in its place. Good luck with the assembly process!
