**Update**: I crafted a superior circuit to power the LED https://github.com/CGrassin/microscope_led_light_circuit This is a 1W/3W LED holder for the Leitz Wetzlar SM microscope. It should press-fit on the base, requiring minimal sanding adjustments. Print in white or black filament (no color will affect the light's tint). Secure the cables and LED with CA glue. The archive includes STL, STEP, and Solidworks files. I also included a wiring diagram for my dimmer circuit, visible in the small black box next to the microscope. A lens is required on the LED: I recommend using a 30° one. *The third photo displays green pepper skin cells.*
