These glasses are not just functional, but also serve as a stylish accessory for New Year's celebrations or when the sun is bright. The laser-cut arms and faceplate made from 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch acrylic, respectively, fit together via pressure-fitting. LEDs on the arm pieces, facing away from the text, are crucial for securing the arm joints. Personalizing the writing and font on these glasses makes them a thoughtful gift. To wear them comfortably while dancing, a string is needed to secure them to your face. The inspiration for this project comes from the inspiring work of @bkubicek and @hoeken on Lazzzor Glasses. The process is quite simple: laser cut the arms, add LEDs, bend one leg through an adjacent hole to draw current from the opposite side, and then pressure fit the arm pieces into the faceplate. Enjoy!
