LED dice bottom Heliox remix
thingiverse
Remixed bottom part of LED dice. The thing now has a power plug attached to it. This can be used in conjunction with a Super Capacitor instead of a Li-Ion cell coin battery, eliminating waste. The design is pretty much okay. Plug and switch fit together well. Have successfully achieved a press-fit after cleaning up the mess left by the slicer on the support area above the switch flange. The switch cap is only slightly over the surface, just enough to push it in the required direction. For more cube/dice things, check out these links: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3954659 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3926580 The parts sizes differ slightly from the Heliox stock cube. The files include: -modified bottom part, holding switch and power plug, connected through a small PCB -modified raw bottom piece, no extra holes or cutouts Do what you want with it from here, take a drill or file. Good luck. If you find this useful, even if gluing on the plug and switch, read the required parts section before printing. If you can get creative with the parts you have, give it a try. Take care of the event where parts fall off. The bottom piece: It adds a place for a rectangular switch or momentary push button. -Depending on use case, this could be used as a power switch or replacement for the Mercury-filled motion/vibration sensor. Just pushing the dice against the table surface will trigger the switch. The switch travel is 0.6mm only. No need to shake the dice; change the rule! -With a motion sensor on the LED PCB, it could have an On/Off switch. Needed parts (electronics): -3.5mm DC Power Jack Socket Female shaft diameter: 7.4mm flange diameter: 9.8mm overall length with leads: 16.7mm body length: 12mm -the momentary push button switch used shape rectangular: square, 10mm travel: 0.6mm overall height with leads: 11.3mm body height with cap without positioning pins: 6.8mm body without cap without positioning pins: 6mm By chance, the switch was made by France/USA-based C&K, 25 years ago. Now they have a similar-looking KS series. https://www.ckswitches.com/products/keyswitch/KS/ THE END
