LED cube 29mm standard dice edition
thingiverse
This thing is a small, compact cube derived from my universal cube system. The cube size measures 29mm. A similar cube design has been created to fit a specially made PCB with rounded corners. If you are looking for a more complete version, please visit the following link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3962084 Please note that I request no cell coin holder due to the tight spacing inside the cube. For this project, it is recommended to use transparent or translucent filament. The light from tiny LEDs will not pass through black filament. Safety Requirements: Some glue may be required for assembly, such as hot glue, silicone, double-sided duct tape, foam, or other suitable materials. Please ensure that conductive parts of the PCB, cell coin, and tactile switch are properly insulated to prevent any electrical issues. Unfortunately, screws were not designed into this project, so it is essential to carefully fill any gaps that may occur during assembly. This will help prevent the tactile switch from falling inside the cube when pushed. The files included in this project are: * The top (cover) with a cave and hole for a tactile switch * The base with electronics and cell coin battery * A distance ring or shim, which can be used as a retainer or to bridge gaps. This file can be scaled to the desired thickness. Electronics: No tested PCB is provided at this time. However, a proposal for a PCB design has been included in the pictures. It features an ATTiny soldered onto the copper side. When creating a custom PCB, it is essential to avoid rounding corners as much as possible. A square edge will make it easier to safely place the PCB. Please use a simple CR1616 or CR2032 coin cell with lead wires or DIY-made heatshrink tube connections. Code: No code has been provided by me for this project. Supplemental files (taken from a similar project I designed recently) include: * Some pictures * An assembly manual
