LED Clips for Maker Select Plus
thingiverse
These custom-designed clips were created to securely hold an LED strip in place along the frame of my Monoprice Maker Select Plus 3D printer. The LED strip seamlessly integrates with a USB port on my Octoprint server, automatically turning on and off in sync with the server's power status. To accommodate the varying edge widths, I designed two distinct clip types - one for the side frames and another for the top frame. A total of seven clips were printed for the sides (three where the Octoprint server is mounted and four on the opposite side), while only four clips were needed for the top frame. Due to their vertical orientation, these clips required no support structures during printing. The LED strip utilized in this application was originally designed for TV backlighting but works exceptionally well for this purpose. The custom clips are specifically tailored for a 6.5 mm wide strip - any other width may not be compatible. For those interested in acquiring the same LED strip, it is available on Amazon for $10 at http://a.co/hy5a0V7.
