LED Base with Crystals, Mushrooms and more - 28mm tabletop gaming terrain
thingiverse
Version -4 in my D&D game, I wanted to have multiple glowing crystals to use on our table top. Here is the result of about a week of R&D. I printed this with an Elegoo Mars in transparent Elegoo Resin. Prototype miniature gaming base for 5mm LED and cr1632 battery and crystals in a cluster to sit on top of it. The top should be printed in clear. The plan is to make alternate tops for a usable base for multiple light emitting tabletop gaming pieces. No wiring needed. Jut put a 5mm led in and bend the leads and stuff in a battery. To turn off remove the battery. I used 5mm flickering LED diodes with the 29mm long leads like those sold by EDGELEC. I bend the long lead with needle nose pliers to fit in the channel and press against the bottom of the battery. The short lead I bend into a spring that presses against the top of the battery. Future work will be on making additional toppers: fire, torch, mushroom, and lantern with multiple versions of each. If there is good feedback on the base portion I would be glad to improve it. If there are requests for additional toppers I would be glad to try to make those as well. Change log: Extra versions of Crystals added Mushrooms added Replaced Mushroom03 with an improved version
