LED Base for GCrate Spiral Vase Rocket

LED Base for GCrate Spiral Vase Rocket

I thought it'd be neat to turn the spiral vase rocket into an LED night light. I printed it at 60% scale in clear PLA. I designed a base unit and PCB. It will turn on/off automatically at night/in the morning. You can change the speed of the LED cycling, the brightness of the LEDs and the darkness point that it will turn on at via trim pots on the PCB that are accessible from the bottom lid. The holes are sized for M3 brass heat-set inserts (https://www.mcmaster.com/94459A130/) and M3x5 button head screws (https://www.mcmaster.com/92095A177/). SparkFun wishlist for all the components except the LED's: http://sfe.io/w166004 Common Anode RGB Piranha LED's from Adafruit: https://www.adafruit.com/product/315 I've included the Arduino code for the control. The "FastLED" library is required but you can install it from inside the Arduino IDE. The LED's are 5mm Piranha style common anode units.
