This FPV antenna holder boasts 2 clever "flaps" designed specifically for securely mounting 3 addressable LEDs (per "flap"). I crafted this versatile antenna holder because I needed a reliable way to attach my antenna without compromising its integrity. Antennas are notoriously fragile, and I've already suffered the consequences of neglecting their vulnerability - one too many crashes resulted in irreparable damage. The inaugural mount was engineered to lock firmly onto my Emax Nighthawk 250 frame, but even that proved insufficient; it dislodged after a single landing. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as the mount's flexibility allows it to absorb shock during hard landings and 2 tie wraps provide more than adequate security under normal or extreme flight conditions. The version 1 mount features extremely tight tolerances, making it essential to enlarge all holes slightly to ensure a secure fit - a challenge I faced firsthand when attempting to correctly position my antenna. In response to these design limitations, the updated version 2 mount boasts a sleek, protrusion-free bottom surface, enhancing compatibility with other models and allowing the entire mount to slide freely in case of a crash, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the antenna. Furthermore, the tolerance on the hole for the actual antenna has been increased, making it easier to secure this critical component.
