Led aluminium desk lamp "Little Devil"

Small update from 2020: Everything is still holding up fine, except for that small horn at the end which broke quickly. A little devil of a desk lamp! Made with 50mm x 3mm aluminum strips, 15mm x 10mm x 1.5mm aluminum corners, and 9v LEDs. This is a prototype, and it will be upgraded soon. There's a small gap on the profile so you can snap in a piece of transparent plastic - I used a piece of keyboard packaging. I'm trying to keep the voltage low so the LED doesn't overheat since there's no heatsink other than the aluminum strips. One of my first changes will be strengthening the base structure, because the lamp wobbles too much and can't be easily lowered. I think I'll double the swirl or maybe install a small aluminum tube going straight down vertically through the strip with the wire inside? Please let me know what you think! It's my first big design and it took me loads of hours...
