LED 10mm Strip Mount For 3030 Extrusion
thingiverse
I wanted to integrate LED lighting into my Hypercube as I have an IP camera monitoring the build surface, allowing me to observe it remotely. After finding Thing 106844 and printing it out, I discovered that the clips were designed for 2020 extrusions, while my machine uses 3030 extrusions. So I imported the clip into Tinkercad and enlarged the area that fits into the extrusion, shortening the section with a ball that goes into the rail instead. I also reversed the ball to optimize its performance in its intended position. I also modified the rail itself by eliminating the small pads at each end and reducing the angle of the overhang on the sides for improved print quality. Now, all I'm waiting for is the arrival of the LED strips so that I can assemble and install them on my machine.
