I found it annoying that the tripod spreader (lens/accessory tray) that came with my Celestron Nexstar 8SE telescope needed to be removed to fold in the legs, and also was a little too wide to fit in some tripod carrying cases. So I designed this one that allows the legs to be folded in completely without ever having to be removed from the tripod (it just needs to be loosened and rotated 60 degrees to collapse the legs).
