This leather stamp was created as an alternative to the Crafttool branded leather working stamp kit, and it has been thoroughly tested with the Craftool Hefty Handle 8197-00. If you don't have a Hefty Handle, simply apply pressure directly at the center of the stamp and strike it to get it working. To extend its lifespan, avoid striking the stamp with a mallet. How do I use this leather stamp? 1. Import your STL design into your preferred program, create your design, and remember to mirror everything for it to appear right side up when stamped. I used Tinkercad for my text design and Fusion 360 for my stamp design. 2. To achieve a good depth for leather stamping, the offset from the face of the stamp should be exactly 2.60mm. 3. Print your design with the face facing up for optimal results, using rafts and supports to hold the stamp in place while it prints. Alternatively, you can print the design down against the bed, but if you don't have perfect first-layer adhesion, you'll end up with a messy design.
