Leatherman Surge Holster (remix)
thingiverse
Update 20/09/2017 After countless hours of use (it's a daily work tool) and four, five revisions, I'm uploading the latest version I've come up with. Each step refines the original design based on my experience with practical day-to-day use of the holster. It's now shorter, less cumbersome, allows Surge to stick out at the bottom while still fitting snugly. Top "locking" design is still a work in progress; the shape and indents are literally where my tool has gouged out tracks from frequent use, so I'm trying to reflect this in its design. Enjoy! ==== I've seen the feedback about the newer (latest?) version of Surge not quite fitting in, being a little larger. I can't verify the sizes since my tool is now several years old and apparently replaced with a newer model. You may need to scale up the print by a few percent if it's too tight. ==== A remix of an older design, designed from scratch based on the original model. I got inspired to create my own design after printing out the original - only to realize that it wouldn't fit on my 50mm wide work belt . It's been used for weeks now, works flawlessly in my case; tool clips in place and stays put, still easy to get it out when needed.
