Leatherman Signal Sharpener Bit Holder Replacement
thingiverse
*NOTE: WHEN PRINTING, ROTATE THE MODEL SO THAT IT SITS ON ITS SIDE WITH BIT OPENING POINTING UP (like in the pictures [not like the autogenerated 3D model]; makes the little alignment tab on the bottom stronger)* Bit holder to replace the included sharpener on the Leatherman Signal. Holder uses friction fit, but is blocked from falling out when the knife is closed. A small slot allows you to push the bit out (when the knife is open). To mount, make sure the bit holder is empty, slot the bit holder onto the knife as you would with the sharpener (by pressing down the metal lever), open the knife, and put the bit in. When unmounting, you need to lift the far end up a little bit so that the alignment tab comes out of the small hole, press down the metal lever, push towards lever. Note that the replacement holder might look like it contacts the other side when using the pliers, but it should be fine (compare it to how it looks without the bit holder mounted). You can sand it down a bit if you want more clearance. Printed it in PLA, but I might try TPU one day.
