This small spatula like thing allows you to attach your Leatherman OHT right onto your belt, it uses a simple, somewhat stiff clip. The pictures included should show you how to weave the spatula onto the fabric pouch, you may need to poke/pull the ribbon through with some pliers. I think it makes the OHT a lot more usefull. It can be a bit of a pain to remove all the supports inside of the belt clip, take your time, use: a small chisel, some wood screws, the knife on your OHT and anything else you think might help.
