Leathercolor Stand

<p>When dyeing leather I always have the horror-imagination, I could knock over the bottle with the leather colour. Many other leather craftsmen probably share this fear, as I have often seen that someone has cut out the outer carton to put the bottle in it. Since I unfortunately don't have a cardboard box anymore, I made a small stand with the 3D printer. To give the whole thing a little more stability, I made cylindrical recesses, into which 4.5 mm Steel BB's fit.</p> <p>The 118 ml bottles of Fiebings fit into the stand.</p> <p>A rim covers the holes, which I will close with silicone before gluing both parts together.<br/> I will make a new two-color version from wood filament with double or triple amount of Steel BB's as soon as my Dual-Color-Hotend works again. And there I will also integrate a tray for brushes. But first this has to prove itself in the practice.</p> <p>-- German --</p> <p>Beim Färben von Leder habe ich immer die Horror-Vorstellung, ich könnte die Flasche mit der Lederfarbe umwerfen. Viele andere Lederhandwerker teilen wohl diese Angst, den ich habe schon oft gesehen, das jemand den Umkarton mit einem Ausschnitt versehen hat, um Flasche dann darein zu stellen. Da ich leider keinen Umkarton mehr habe, habe ich mit dem 3D Drucker einen kleinen Ständer gebastelt. Um dem ganzen etwas mehr Stabilität zu geben, habe ich Zylinderförmige Vertiefungen gemacht, in die 4,5 mm Steel BB's passen.</p> <p>In den Ständer passen die 118 ml Flaschen von Fiebings.</p> <p>Ein Rand deckt die Löcher ab, die ich vor dem zusammenkleben beider Teile noch mit Silikon verschließen werde.</p> <p>Eine neue zweifarbige Version aus Holzfilament mit der doppelten oder dreifachen Menge Steel BB's werde ich machen, sobald mein Dual-Color-Hotend wieder funktioniert. Und da werde ich dann auch eine Ablage für Pinsel integrieren. Aber erstmal muss sich das hier in der Praxis bewähren.</p> Category: Other
