A 3D scan of the base of the skull of a leatherback sea turtle is currently housed at the Virtual Curation Laboratory, where it was brought by Ray Vodden of the Virginia Museum of Natural History for scanning purposes. The NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner was used to capture detailed images of this turtle's cranial structure.
