To extract textures from a .skp file, utilize one of these software options. With Sketchup (free), export as a 2D graphic under File/Export/2D Graphic. In C4D, importing the .skp file automatically generates a folder with textures next to it. For 3ds Max, textures are stored in ..3dsMaxsceneassetsimages when importing a .skp file. Rhinoceros 3D (trial version sufficient) allows access to textures via the Material Editor in the Textures section after importing the .skp file. All of these methods enable easy extraction and organization of textures.
