Leather Cross Imprint Stamp
myminifactory
My dad made me a leather bracelet with a cross on it years ago. The snap broke soon after he passed away, and I couldn't bear to wear this anymore. Recently, I saw someone 3D print a stamp to imprint leather and decided to give it a try. To my surprise, it worked perfectly! Now, all I have to do is cut some leather and make a new bracelet in his honor. Even if you don't like this design, maybe it will inspire you to create your own unique idea. The images show the original design on darker leather and my version side by side - they're not identical but close enough for me. After printing the stamp, I wet the leather to soften it so it can take the design. Then, using a vice (or a press), I sandwiched together a heavy metal piece, the leather, the stamp facing down, and another metal piece in that order, clamping tightly. Don't overtighten - remember this isn't metal, too much pressure could break the stamp. Let the assembly dry overnight, then unclamp it to reveal the pressed image on the leather.
