This is a tool for the Learning Blade Haiti Orphanage Mission Challenge. Using the fully 3D printable Earthquake Shaker Table, students will test their structural design skills for the Construction Response Activity. Print Settings Notes: Bottom and Top should be printed with 10-15% infill / 2 walls settings. The springs in the video were printed with the same setting; however, to achieve stiffer or weaker springs, adjust your print settings accordingly. Standards NGSS Overview and Background Lesson Plan and Activity The fully 3D printable Earthquake Shaker table is designed for testing student designs of earthquake-resistant buildings. When students test their designs on the shaker table, have them tape their designs to the top so they are securely anchored. Materials Needed: 2-3 completed Shaker Tables per class. Follow the Learning Blade Teacher guide for student construction of their building designs.
