thingiverse
These are supporting files for the Learning Blade Basic Robot Coding Activity. This Maker Quest gives students practice crafting instructions a robot could follow to reach a specific location on a grid. Students can prepare a set of simple steps for their robots to move across the grid by rearranging the 3D-printed map and obstacle tiles in various ways to scale the activity's difficulty level. Each individual piece will fit within a 100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm print volume. However, any changes made to the scale could affect how well the interlocking map grid sections fit together. The map grid sections are designed with simple notches and grooves so students can create a grid as large as needed. It's recommended that at least two map grid sections be printed for this activity. Once the map grid has been set up, and the remaining pieces have been printed, the coding part of the activity is ready to begin.
