Learn To Play - Tabletop (Board Game)

This is a simple tabletop game designed to teach small children the basics of board games. My child's developmental pediatrician recommended that we practice sharing, rules, and turns with a straightforward board game. In this game, players take turns rolling a six-sided die to move across the board. As soon as an obstacle tile is reached, the player stops immediately and rolls again to meet the obstacle's requirement. If successful, the player advances the number of tiles equal to the success roll all in the same turn. A roll that fails to reach an obstacle or meets an obstacle's requirement ends the turn. The three obstacle tiles are incrementing in difficulty and should be placed accordingly when creating the board. The mountain tile should be encountered first and requires a roll greater than 3 to pass. The forest tile is next, which can be passed by rolling 2 or 4. The dragon tile is last, requiring a roll of 6 to pass. The ending game tile should be six tiles beyond the dragon. Instead of painting, I use sugar or flour to fill in the number cavities on each obstacle tile. We are playing with some Dutchmogul miniatures printed at 28mm scale. A special thanks to Loubie for the dragon, Nevaneva for the tail, Gluetolf for the mountain, and JAWong for the trees. Thanks to them, making this game required very little effort.
