LeapMotion Mount - Epson Moverio BT-200
thingiverse
This rig is made to tightly attach a LeapMotion controller on top of an Epson Moverio BT-200 display. There are two parts in this set-up. One fits onto the front of the Moverio using the nose piece screw, while the second part holds the LeapMotion and screws into the first part with an M2 fastener. This whole assembly can be used to add hand and gesture tracking so users can easily interact with BT-200 apps. There's a link to an example project that combines LeapMotion with the BT-200 coming soon - just check back in! Print Settings: Rafts: It doesn't matter Supports: It doesn't matter Resolution: 200 microns Notes: This assembly was made using a Cube3 printer and white PLA filament. The settings used were 200 microns, hollow fill, and line pattern (the default draft part setting). Despite this, the result is quite precise and fit together well without any trouble. Post-Printing: Finish Parts - Smoothing and Fasteners After the print is done, I suggest using sandpaper to smooth out the edges of both pieces and remove any leftover strings. The parts are designed to be exact, so they might fit a little too tightly. Using sandpaper will make them fit better. The two parts, LP_Front_Piece and LP_Holder_Front, screw together with M2 fasteners. LP_Front_Piece has a special hole that allows an M2 spacer to fit inside. You should use the following spacers: http://www.ebay.com/itm/M2-Black-Nylon-Hex-Female-Female-Standoff-Spacer-6mm-8mm-10mm-12mm-Hexagonal-/201322955283?var=&hash=item2edfc88213 Any standard M2 screw (less than 10 mm long) can then be used to attach the components together. Assembly - LP_Front_Piece LP_Front_Piece fits onto the front of the Moverio. 1. Remove the small screw that's holding the nose piece into place on the Moverio frame. 2. Place the LP_Front_Piece onto the front of the Moverio. Make sure the bump lines up with the gap under the nose piece ridge, and the hole lines up with the nose piece screw. 3. Put back the small screw and tighten it firmly - but don't over-tighten. Slide in the LeapMotion (front first) into LP_Holder_Front. It should snap into place firmly. 2. Slide down LP_Holder_Front onto LP_Front_Piece and screw them together using an M2 nylon screw.
