Leapfrog HS Dust-Cover
thingiverse
I created a custom dust cover for my Leapfrog HS printer, designed to keep the heat inside while preventing ABS or other filament from warping. This innovative solution also saves energy. To use the cover, simply slide it back and forth to advance the filament through the extruder (check out the attached picture). The cover itself is crafted from 6mm MDF material, which cost me around 5 euros. A 4mm thick piece of plexiglass was added as a protective layer, costing approximately 20 euros. I applied water-based paint to give it a finished look, also for around 20 euros. Additionally, I needed to purchase screws to connect all the printed parts, which cost another 5 euros. To build this custom cover, you'll need to print several specific components: * 2x Cover grips * 2x Cover hinge 1s * 2x Cover hinge 2s * 2x Lid holders * 6x Feed stabilizers It took me a few days to assemble and paint the entire project.
