Leapfrog Creatr E3D V6 X Carriage redesign

The Leapfrog Creatr is a machine with solid structural integrity, but it has some design flaws I aimed to correct:\r\n\r\n1. It relies on proprietary extruder parts that are difficult to obtain and do not function properly.\r\n2. The carriage holds two heavy extruder motors, which cause instability.\r\n3. Nozzle cooling is insufficient.\r\n4. A part cooling fan is missing.\r\n\r\nI wanted to incorporate the widely used E3D V6 extruder in a bowden setup with standard LM8UU bearing blocks and a common part cooling fan found in most printers, while maintaining the dual extruder configuration and cable chain.\r\n\r\nMost of the hardware is reused from the original mount, but you will need to acquire M3 screws and nuts to attach some parts. The LM8UU bearing blocks require M4 screws.\r\n\r\nThe motor mount is attached to the top of the printer above the rear Z lead screw. You will need slightly longer screws for this setup.\r\n\r\nI also appreciate the 40mm fan mount from this design because it helps reduce the noise generated by the E3D fan: \r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2193695 \r\nThe file name is E3DV6_Coldend_40mmFan_holder_V2.\r\n\r\n
