I wanted to upgrade my Leapfrog Bolt Pro 3D printer because the original hotends didn't live up to its promises. The nozzles with heat blocks were also extremely pricey. My main reason for switching was that I needed to use an Olsson Ruby Nozzle, which is only compatible with E3D hotends. To make this work, I designed a custom printhead that can be easily swapped out if needed. The new printhead features two separate heads: one for materials requiring good cooling (PLA, support), and the other for technical materials like PC, Nylon, and ABS. To integrate the new printhead into your Leapfrog Bolt Pro, you'll need some additional parts and basic soldering skills. If you're unsure about how to proceed, feel free to leave a comment below and I'll provide guidance. My initial print test was successful (see version 1 picture), and I'll be posting more photos once everything is finalized.
