Leap Motion Mount for Oculus CV1 Consumer Version (No Adhesive Required)
thingiverse
I'm not a fan of the current official Leap Motion solution of sticking it on with some adhesive tape so I created an easily removable Leap Motion mount for my Oculus CV1 (Consumer Version). It's a little flimsy feeling and probably needs a fairly well-calibrated printer to make it, but it seems sufficiently secure - I can point the headset at the ground and shake it without it budging. Plus, it's easy to put on and take off. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.5 Infill: 5% Notes: I used a 0.5mm nozzle - if you use anything else, you'll need to make some adjustments yourself. The clips for holding the leap secure have 0.5mm supports built in that will need removal post-printing. You can change "support_xy" in leap_mount.scad to your nozzle size to adjust these, but I'm not sure if the prongs will flex correctly with smaller nozzle sizes. Instructions: I used some stick-on foam rubber dots from the furniture protection department to help the clips stay in place on the fabric - this may not be necessary, but it's recommended. You'll want to print at least two of the clips and the prong_test. If you're not using the foam rubber dots, change the "prong_separation" value in prong_test.scad to 85, rebuild the STL before printing, and check that it fits over your CV1 correctly. If not, adjust "prong_separation" accordingly and re-print prong_test. Once you've got a decent fit, change "prong_separation" in leap_mount.scad, rebuild the STL, and print it.
