This bracket was created for RYD (Responsible Young Drivers) to be used on their 3D VR distraction bicycle. The leap had to be attached to an Oculus Rift S without obstructing its cameras.
Furthermore the USB cable attached to the LEAP should not be able to move as this caused the VR application to crash at times.

This led to this two part design. The bottom part is slightly convex to allow for the curve of the Oculus. The top part is very slightly tapered so the LEAP can slide in from the bottom but not slide out the top once the bracket is snapped together.

Enjoy!
Dylan
100%FAT

Print instructions

Everything is set up for you in the .3mf file.

The bracket is best printed at 0.15mm layer height, 15% infill and with support on the build plate only.

Assembly is straightforward:

Stick some form of double sided tape to the rear of the bracket. We like to use TESA's green mounting tape.

Insert the USB cable into the LEAP.

Insert the LEAP into the top half of the bracket.

Carefully snap the top half of the bracket into the lower half.
