I'm excited to embark on a project with my 8-year-old daughter that involves her in the design process. She drew the initial concept on paper, and I brought it to life by tracing and refining the design using Fusion 360. I highly recommend undertaking this project with your kids. Not only is it an enjoyable experience, but it's also a great way to share and pass on your passion for design. Moreover, it provides them with valuable opportunities to develop spatial problem-solving skills through hands-on design experiences. Regardless of how you approach the project, it's a quick print, and we hope you'll enjoy creating your own version. B.O.M.: The only essential components required, aside from a 3D printer, are four 608ZZ ball bearings. You can obtain these at any local skate shop or on eBay. To ensure optimal performance, I recommend investing in a higher-quality center bearing with ceramic components. These will significantly improve the overall smoothness and longevity of your print. When preparing the bearings, it's recommended to remove any grease from the center bearing using solvents like WD40 or terpentine. This simple step helps minimize friction and prolongs the lifespan of your printed object.
