Leaf SOC display frame

The first generation Nissan Leaf (2011/2012) does not show the battery State of Charge on the dash (later models do). This project replicates that feature by adding a small OLED display inside the top "eyebrow" dash. The 3D print files here make a frame to hold the OLED in place and hide the backing PCB. There are three frame designs for different display options: 1.30 inch, 128x64 pxel OLED display in horizontal orientation [new, and best] 1.54 inch, 128x64 pxel OLED display in horizontal orientation 0.96 inch, 128x64 pixel OLED display in horzontal orientation [updated] 0.96 inch, 64x128 pixel OLED display in vertical orientation [deprecated] The display is controlled by a small Arduino Pro Mini board which talks to a MCP2515 CAN Bus module which is connected to the Leaf OBD2 port. Full details and software are on my blog: http://www.myonlinediary.com/index.php/Energy/SOCDisplay You'll notice it's kinda hard to see the frame in my picture - that's a great result. ---- 1 May 2021 I've finally added the 1.30 inch frame. This is best option for for the upper "eyebrow" dash in the Nissan Leaf. This is a largest display I found that will fit inside the dash without resorting to seperating the OLED from the backing board. It's also large enough to read the "small" type on. The 0.96 inch display is a bit too small (but fits easily in the dash space. The 1.54 inch display only fits if you seperate the display from it's backing board, and have the backing board dangle outside the dash. The 1.54 inch display is a good size and when held in place with double sided tape it looks great, but eventually the ribbon cable between the display and it's back board will crack, then split and stops working. After the first unit stopped working due to this fault - I tried just sticking the display on the dash without bothering with my frame and it still worked fine (although the fram does help keep the display aligned correctly). I also updated the design for the 0.96 inch display so that it flares out to be wider. This makes it stronger (and therefroe less prone to warping in high temperatures and provides more area for the double sided tape to hold it in place.
