Leaf Clip for Spectrometer

Leaf Clip for Spectrometer

thingiverse

This leaf clip is designed to securely hold a leaf in position while also fixing optical fibres into place. Its primary function is to enable precise measurements of leaf reflectance and transmittance using the sun's radiation as the source. The design draws inspiration from the Fluowat leaf clip, with some key modifications. The prototype is still under development, with several options being explored, including determining the ideal size and placement of the window that allows sunlight to pass through. Another potential enhancement could involve incorporating filters into the window for added functionality. When printing this clip, it's recommended to use a black material to minimize reflections. Additionally, applying highly absorbing paint to the interior surface can help prevent multiple scattering and contamination of the measurement results. Feedback is greatly valued at this stage.
