Lead screw Y carriage - modded
thingiverse
Screws are threaded into holes that are 4 units in length, whereas standard screws require a 2-unit hole. This reduced engagement should prevent the print from splitting. Moreover, screws do not extend through the entire model to account for potential issues with increased diameters affecting prints on the opposite side. Printing from the side produces a smaller nut gap bridge, thereby increasing its likelihood of being printed perfectly. Additionally, this approach offers a bit more flexibility in bridging the gap. The center hole for the spring has been enlarged to facilitate smoother insertion of the spring component. The assembly is centered, which should minimize interference issues that may arise with small NEMA motors.
