These lead screw nut holders and x-pulley idler plates enable users to upgrade their Makerfarm Pegasus printers with WOOD motor mounts and carriages to accommodate 8mm lead screws. The nut holders are engineered to fit snugly into the v-slot rails, providing enhanced torsional stiffness. Meanwhile, the idler pulley bracket features notches that offer additional clearance for the nut holder. Two versions of each part are supplied: * Nut holder (one version is 0.1mm looser in the v-slot area to ensure a smooth fit) * Idler plate (one version has a smaller notch for increased x-travel clearance) For optimal results, print these parts using a rigid material such as PLA with an infill of at least 75% and focus on printing the outside perimeters first. This ensures maximum accuracy in the v-slot area and hole placement. To complete the upgrade, you will need to secure the lead screw nuts with 8x M3 x 8mm bolts, which are not included. Additionally, you will require 8mm lead screws, nuts, and flex couplings for the motors. It is recommended to use "Plum" couplers, as shown in the illustration. Once the new parts have been printed and installed, simply adjust your Z steps/mm setting in the firmware and you're ready to operate at peak performance!
