Lead screw tower addon
thingiverse
This is a collection of parts designed to enable the simple addition of extra lead screw towers onto V-Rail extrusion framed CoreXY printers, with the ultimate goal of achieving perfect bed movement stability. The hardware consists of several key components: First, the bottom bracket and stepper dummy require an M5x50 socket head bolt to serve as the shaft, each equipped with a GT2 pulley attached underneath a flex coupling. Next, these components are secured to the V-Rail extrusions using M5x10 socket heads into M5 square nuts. The bottom bracket spacer is held in place by four M3x25 socket heads, while the internal mechanism requires five 5x10x4 mm bearings (one on top and three on the bottom). The belt tensioner needs a GT2 idler pulley set in place with an M3x25 socket head into an M3 nylock nut. Additionally, the tensioner arm is held secure atop the spacer using two M5x10 socket heads, one from the top and the other from the bottom. Furthermore, the tensioner base should be attached to the V-Rail with M5x10 socket heads using M5 washers to prevent deformation; it should also be anchored using M5 square nuts just like the parts above. The top bracket requires the same anchoring hardware to the V-Rail along with four M3x10 socket heads anchored into the leadscrew fitting. Note that the top and bottom brackets are identical components.
