I upgraded my X axes from standard Prusa i3 mounts to accommodate brass nut/lead screws, which I sourced recently from my reliable 3D printing supplier. Troubled by persistent noise and squeals with my M5 threaded rods, I decided to tackle the problem head-on by investing in a solution. The redesigned mount features a central hole of 10.4mm diameter. Mounting holes are 3mm apart except for one that overlaps the rest of the part, where they measure 2.8mm to ensure secure screw retention since adding a nut is not feasible.
