Lead Screw Bearing Mount

Lead Screw Bearing Mount

I'm currently tweaking a file to get it precisely concentric with the stepper motor shaft, which is about .2 mm off. To confirm if shimming solves wobble issues, I'll be running some tests. Once confirmed, I'll update the file with the correct size. To reduce side-to-side wobble on the 2040 of my Reach3D printer, I'm designing bearing mounts for an 8mm lead screw. This will keep it centered and parallel to the 2040. The mounts are specifically designed for use with 608ZZG bearings, which require M5x10 bolts and 2 flat T nuts per mount. While one mount is sufficient, two will ensure perfect parallel alignment. However, securing it to the 2040 using these mounts poses a challenge due to ridges that run in the V-grooves of the 2040. To counter this, I'll be using flat T nuts for mounting. If I decide to place the mount on the bottom one, the Y endstop will need to be relocated to the side of the 2040. A new endstop mount design can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2161342. Print Settings: Printer: Reach3D Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 50%
