Le Fab Inspired Giraffe

A while back le FabShop team posted an awesome model of a segmented elephant. So when my girlfriend requested a giraffe made of "wood" for a teacher in a Montessori school I found inspiration in their creativity. I used it as a learning opportunity for modeling with spline curves in Fusion 360. It doesn't hold a candle to le Fab's elephant but the kids apparently gave it their seal of approval. As I write this, it seems lefabshop.fr is down so here's their Thingiverse page: https://www.thingiverse.com/LeFabShop/about If you haven't checked them out yet, I encourage you to do so; their models are truly spectacular. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.25 mm layer height Infill: 20ish Notes: This model printed very well on its side with minimal support between the legs and supporting the neck/head. I used GizmoDork's woodfill for this project; it's the only wood particle filled filament I have used, and I must say it typically looks nice and is cheaper than many of the other wood filaments out there. The biggest design flaw I've noticed in the model is that there is very little surface connecting the neck to the body, but fortunately a little super glue fixed it before it popped off. I've noticed standard super glue works extremely well on this woodfill filament.
