The Park City Utah Temple, a striking 13.4-acre facility, was announced on April 15, 1984, to much anticipation. The temple's exterior boasts a clean and crisp white cast stone finish, giving it a serene and elegant appearance. A Modern design aesthetic governs the structure's architectural style, which features a single, majestic spire reaching for the sky. Inside, worshippers can visit one of four ordinance rooms or six sealing rooms, providing ample space for ceremonies and events. Spanning 57,982 square feet in total floor area, this temple is truly an impressive feat of design and construction. The public was given notice on April 7th, with plans officially set into motion for the groundbreaking and site dedication ceremony, held on October 10th, 1987, under the leadership of Thomas S. Monson. In August 1990, locals had a chance to experience it firsthand during a six-day open house, from the 2nd to the 18th, inviting the community to take a glimpse inside these magnificent walls. Lastly, on August 25th and continuing through August 27th in 1990, The Gordon B. Hinckley dedication marked the culmination of all these years' hard work in bringing this stunning edifice into reality for its devoted congregants.
