Site spans a massive 3 acres. Exterior finish is handled with precast panels finished in white quartz, complemented by terra cotta roof tiles that perfectly match the setting. A temple design that showcases modern elements stands out, distinguished by its singular, stately spire rising towards the sky. Within its walls, you'll discover two specially designated rooms for ordinances and three for sealings. Its floor area spans a staggering 30,677 square feet, leaving plenty of room to spread out and feel the serenity within these temple halls. On April 2, 1980, news broke announcing this future addition. Then came groundbreaking and site dedication on August 13, 1982, presided over by the honorable Bruce R. McConkie. In preparation for its unveiling, the temple welcomed visitors to a public open house spanning September 6 to 18 in that same year. On September 20 to 23, it was formally dedicated with ceremonies led by Gordon B. Hinckley.
