The grounds stretch out over 5.5 acres. Granite forms the exterior surface. Architects have created a modern classic single-spire design for the temple's layout. There are two rooms designated for ordinances and two rooms specifically for sealing rituals in this building. This massive structure takes up 16,800 square feet. A major update was announced on June 24th, 2001 Groundbreaking ceremonies kicked off and site dedication occurred on March 29th, 2003 led by H. Bruce Stucki. Community open house took place between April 16th - May 7th, 2005 The grand opening was formally completed by Gordon B. Hinckley on May 22nd, 2005
