LDS Missionary Chess pieces
thingiverse
I made this chess set for my son who is on a mission. I've arranged it like this: the light side has Christ as king, the Holy Ghost dove as queen, the man in suit as bishop, the missionary with armor of God as knight, the Temple as rook, and the missionary name tags as pawns - you can swap these names for missionaries you know. On the dark side, Death is the king, the 7-headed hydra dragon is the queen, the golden calf idol is the bishops, the natural man caveman is the knight, the worldly great and spacious building is the rook, and the pawns are tombstones with bad things written on them. I also used a paint can lined with paper towels (held in place by magnets) and 1/4 cup of acetone to wet the towel. Then, each piece was placed on a small piece of aluminum on top of the paint can lid before covering it with the can. After that, I let the vapors from the can work on the pieces for 40-60 minutes to make them glossy and smooth.
